Connecticut HIV Planning Consortium

Coordinating a statewide HIV prevention and care system to reduce new infections and increase access to appropriate services

Building a Unified Future for HIV Prevention & Care in Connecticut

At CHPC, we are a diverse coalition of individuals, service providers, health specialists, and community members, all working together to advance HIV prevention and care across Connecticut. Recognized by the Connecticut Department of Public Health (DPH) as the primary platform for statewide HIV planning, our mission is clear: to create a coordinated care and prevention system that reduces new HIV infections and ensures that those living with and affected by HIV/AIDS have access to the services they need.

July 21: Zero HIV Stigma Day

July 21st marks Zero HIV Stigma Day, spearheading a movement and uniting people, communities, organizations, and entire countries to raise awareness and take action against HIV stigma, which reinforces and amplifies the HIV pandemic and related inequalities. While occasions such as World AIDS Day bring needed awareness to HIV in general, there has never been a global awareness day specifically to challenge the impact of stigma, which persists despite biomedical advancements in HIV prevention and care.

Get Involved with the CHPC

Interested in participating in CHPC meetings as a public participant, joining a committee, or applying for CHPC membership?

CHPC’s outreach cards are a tool for community connection. They’re designed to help spread awareness of CHPC’s work, highlight statewide HIV resources, and invite people to get involved. Whether you’re tabling at an event or adding to your clinic’s display, these cards help put the mission in people’s hands.

Want to distribute cards at you’re site?
Cards are available in English and Spanish, and work best when shared through:
• Community events and tabling
• Clinic or office displays
• Outreach folder or mailing inserts
